Pre Rup was built in the late 10th century in the reign of Rajendravarman II. It was built in order to dedicate to Hinduism. Pre Rup means “Tun the body”. But the actual meaning is “Cremation the dead body to incarnate in the next life”. It is believed that used to be a funeral site.
